SPOOK ‘EM UP

Spook ‘em Up is my latest game and was written in Game Maker Studio with about 10,000 lines of GML code. I started it at the end of

summer 2016 with a self-imposed deadline of – you guessed it – Halloween! Was the deadline met? Well, despite pesky school work

taking up my time, yeah, mostly.

“LACK OF INTELLIGENCE”

Prior to Spook ‘em Up, I worked for months on “Lack of Intelligence” with its character from the intel. agency. This was my first game

developed in GameMaker Studio and it was mostly intended to be a proof of concept because I knew that adding all the levels and rooms

that I had in mind would have taken forever. Maybe I’ll return to it one day. Anyway — with autumn approaching, the other type of spooks

were calling...

CODE FOR SPOOK ‘EM UP

Here ‘s all the code required to run this here game so far. The coding language (GML) is rather similar to other coding languages, such as

JavaScript. Had I used blocks to program the game, making and programming it would probably have been more of a pain and taken even

longer.

In the video below, I comment on some of the source code I wrote for the game.
